Both slices I took home were delicious. The store is beautifully decorated and fits perfectly in the 2nd st. neighborhood. I got the Strawberry Rhubarb and loved the tartness of this slice. Totally reminds me of the old Knotts Berry Farm pie that they don't make anymore. The Espresso Mocha slice was also amazing and as I asked for two slices that weren't too sweet, they completely met my expectations. I definitely recommend this place for your dessert satisfaction. They also have an excellent selection of coffee drinks and different teas.

Details.. .. Belated celebration of Pi Day after taking our pups to the dog beach nearby. .. We ordered a slice of blueberry peach, cherry, strawberry rhubarb, espresso almond chocolate, & 2 chicken pot pies. We had originally wanted to try the Thanksgiving & turkey chili pot pies, but they were out. I was also hoping to try the earl grey cream pie, but they were out so I went with the espresso almond chocolate. prOs.. .. Every pie we had, both sweet AND savory were exceptionally well made & the flavors were fantastic. The fruit pies actually tasted like fruit, the cream pie had a great texture, & the savory pies were flavorful + the chicken wasn't dry! .. Reheating instructions were simple. We reheated the savory pies in our oven & one of the fruit pies in our air fryer. .. The crust held up well & although it was flaky & gave the impression it'd be dry, that wasn't the case at all! Nothing is more disappointing than a pie that falls apart. .. Pie slices were generous & thicc. You'll have to trust me on this one because we devoured all of them before I could take pictures. .. Service was great & the staff was friendly/helpful. cOns.. .. Parking. They're located on the a corner off 2nd Street in Belmont Shores & the parking in that area sucks. Too many shops & all street parking. I'm not knocking them for this, but FYI. final thOughts.. .. We'll definitely be back! My husband sometimes is around this area for work & I was already telling him he better bring pie home next time he's there. Lol

This place was delicious! The 5" pies are so good. Key lime pie and the berry cheesecake were so good. The early grey was also good. Service was fast for a preorder and inside it's been cute!

OVERALL: I don't usually go out of my way for pie shops, but I saw some good reviews for their sweet pies and figured I'd try while in the area! It's nice that they sell by the slice and not just whole pies. They had a bunch of different pies in their case including apple, pecan, chocolate, pumpkin, cherry, peach, earl gray, and more! They also had some savory pies (chicken pot pie, turkey, thanksgiving) and quiches as well. We ordered 1 slice of sweet pie and 1 slice of quiche, which came out fast. They bring the food out to you after ordering at the register. Simple, no-frills interior with ample seating! They also sell coffee / matcha, but we didn't try any this time. PARKING: Located on the Belmont Shore strip of shops/dining. No dedicated parking lot so plan accordingly and be prepared for street parking / parallel parking. Can be busy during peak hours. FOOD/DRINKS: Chocolate Banana Cream Pie - worth the hype! Decadent dessert, I shared a slice. Chocolate was not too sweet, very rich and went well with the banana cream. They loaded it up with real banana which I appreciated. Flaky crust on the bottom! Spinach Mushroom Quiche - my first real quiche! I don't have a ranking for it yet since I'd need to try other quiches to compare, but this was a pleasant slice! Soft, warm, and cheesy. The bottom wasn't v flaky anymore since it absorbed all the wet ingredients above, but still enjoyable nonetheless. I'll need to try from other shops to see how this compares!

I am a connoisseur of Pecan Pie! I have actually perfected my own recipe, using maple syrup instead of (icky) corn syrup. I use lots of pecans and no goopy stuff in the middle. All that to say...Republic of Pies bakes a very delicious Pecan Pie!! Best ever! Lovely with a cup of their superb coffee. This is a great little spot to relax, people watch and dine in Belmont Shore. They have a wide selection of dessert pies, as well as savory pies. The prices are higher, but so is the quality...well worth the price! Staff are super nice and the shop is decorated well, with seating indoors and outdoors. Be sure to check them out next time you are down that way

Super cute place! We ordered the frankestein which is 6 slices of any pies you'd like. I was super happy about the cheesecake! We also got Vienna Latte, Matcha Cream Latte, Yogurt, and Avocado Toast. The service was fast and she made our drinks so pretty!
